    Identity, verified both ways

    Nobody can message or be messaged until they've passed an ID check. It applies to the person with the room and the person looking for one — trust has to run in both directions.

    Church-confirmed, where it counts

    Lodge doesn't cold-call a parish office about every listing — that's a promise no small team could keep. Instead, partner churches confirm their own homes, because the people who actually know someone are better placed to vouch than we are. Other listings name their church themselves, and we show that plainly as self-declared, never dressed up as a check we didn't do.

    References, not ratings

    We don't do public star ratings — a tanked score in your own church world does more harm than good. Instead, a past housemate can vouch for someone on request, like a rental reference. It tells you the thing a badge never could: what they were actually like to live with.
